I never cease to marvel at how Ernie Fletcher manages to screw up.
From today’s Herald Leader:
“Gov. Ernie Fletcher's new appointee to remove political bias from the state hiring process is a Republican partisan who regularly attacked Democrats on his now-disabled Web site.
Fletcher hired C. Dodd Harris IV to be executive director of the Office of Merit System Referrals, which is set to open next month in the Personnel Cabinet. It will screen recommendation letters for job applicants for evidence of improper political influence.”
Since executive directors usually get appointed at mid-point of the salary scale C. Dodd should be making about $91,574.16 to start. Well at least he is a lawyer so maybe he will be able to understand 18A.140 Prohibition against discrimination and political activities.
The rest of the Fletcher administration seems to have a problem grasping these four paragraphs.
