Two Wrongs Don't Make A Right

Ok, let us try this again, yesterday I commented about a non-story published in the Herald-Leader regarding Governors campaign contribution reporting. I said this kind of reporting calls into question the Herald-Leader’s fairness.

So today we have the same story rehashed and taking aim at Auditor Crit Luallen.

Fair accurate reporting does not blow clerical errors into page one stories about subverting the public’s right to know.

Picking on a Republican and the next day picking on a Democrat when there is no story, is not fairness, it’s just a self-promoting waste of ink.

I don’t particularly blame the reporter for the stories, but what idiot of an editor puts them on page one. Maybe they are just auditioning for a gig on Saturday Night Live.
