I’ve seen people that are as stubborn as a mule. The only way you can get their attention is to hit them between the eyes with a two by four.
Ernie Fletcher must fall in that category. If he needed another less than subtle hint that it was time to pack it in he got in last night.
When Mitch McConnell and David Williams show up for a fund raiser for a guy that says he is thinking about running against you in the primary it’s time to take a clue.
If Ernie doesn’t get the message this time it looks like McConnell and Williams will need to go to the nearest lumber yard.
Arrogance and stupidity still aren’t a good combination in a Governor.

Same Old Song
Question: You have two advisors one that is right about half the time and another that is almost always wrong, which one do you listen to on important issues?
Answer: The guy that is always wrong, there is a lot to be said for consistency.
You can always count on the Kentucky House of Representatives to be consistent. In my last post I said there was a “fat chance” that our representatives would want to force the issue of Fletcher’s criminal behavior.
They speak with one voice. From today’s Herald Leader
“Regarding the possibility of impeachment, the House leader (Democratic Speaker Jody Richards) said, "We have said from the beginning of the merit system investigation that the matter should be decided in the courts, and we await the prosecutors' decision on whether to appeal. Until then, talk of the General Assembly's role is premature."
Senate President David Williams, R-Burkesville, said Richards "makes a wise observation."
They are consistent, regardless of whether they are Republican, Democrat, Conservative, Liberal from the House or the Senate the song is the same.
And they wonder why the public doesn't trust them......
