Lunsford and Health Care

Bruce Lunsford has a plan for health care in Kentucky.

Under his proposal, Lunsford would make more children eligible for the subsidized Kentucky Children's Health Insurance Program. The plan would also give businesses tax credits to pay for health insurance for employees and create a pool to help businesses and individuals buy health insurance at a reduced cost.

"It's not dependent on new taxes or gambling revenue or anything else," Lunsford said. The state pays only a small portion of the Kentucky Children's Health Insurance Program; much of that cost is picked up by the federal government.

Lunsford is selling total nonsense. Tax credits and let the Feds pick up the tab, how is that going to provide health care for Kentucky’s children. If you don't have a hard plan on how to pay for it, you are not going to make a dent in the health care problems in Kentucky.

This is just part of this snake-oil salesman's attempt to remake himself.
