Miller Moves Into Second

In a poll conducted this weekend by Mellman Group, one of the nation’s top polling firms, the Miller-Maze ticket is in a tie for second place in the race for Governor.

The numbers: Henry-True 22; Miller-Maze 15; Lunsford-Stumbo 15; Beshear-Mongiardo 12; Richards-Brown 8; Galbraith-Wireman 2; Hensley-Robbins 1; Undecided 26

Miller has launched three television commercials focusing on his record and the record of Jefferson County Attorney Irv Maze.

Miller and Maze have been endorsed by leaders in Northern Kentucky and Louisville as well as activist groups like Change for Kentucky. There are rumors of major labor organization endorsements to be announced soon

The slate also won six out of seven mock primaries on college campuses across the state last week. They came in second at Western Kentucky University, which went to Richards in his home town.

Miller-Maze will also be reporting over $1,000,000.00 in total contributions so far.

It certainly looks like there are alternatives for voters in the Democratic Primary other than Lunsford or Henry.
