Television Wasteland

I saw my first Bruce Lunsford television commercial last night. Well maybe more accurately I saw part of a Bruce Lunsford commercial. I guess I just tuned out the first part of Bruce’s monologue, it’s not like we all haven’t heard it before.

I guess he is running the commercials early to start attacking Mitch. He sure doesn’t need them to win the primary.

Speaking of commercials, can anyone tell me why the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security needs to run television commercials? Does Adam Edelen’s budget have so damn much money they can just throw it away?

Wait a minute I know the answer to this one.

The answer is YES.

The federal government is throwing away so much money in this program that Edelen and company have to hold training sessions to give it away. Talk about a bureaucracy that needs trimming from Washington to Frankfort.

Ralph - Here's a link to a story we did in October that includes a YouTube video version of the OHS commercial that may be easier to watch.

Pretty boy mush head Adam Edelin, protecting Kentucky from flying waffles and roadside cheeseburgers daily. What's wrong with that, Long, you al Qaeda supporting traitor. Edelin could whip your ass with both your hands tied behind your back.

In fairness, like I alluded to above, the ads started during the Fletcher Administration. Not under Edelen.

Thanks for the link Jake. In all fairness the spots did start under Fletcher.

But continuing to do a stupid thing, that you pointed out months ago, is not a mark of great leadership.

Homeland defense seems to be more about how much money we can spread around not defending anything.

Of course not. It's a mark of the status quo, as you detail.

Which, I guess, is why there's no issue with having Adam in charge because it's not really about security.
