Here is a follow up on a previous post about the Sales and Use Tax Agreement.
From the Department of Revenue’s Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2008-2009:
“The total paid by all SST filers for the fiscal year was $12,024,282.”
This is less than one half of one percent of the sales and use tax collected. So the question becomes is this agreement with the limitations it places on Kentucky worth less than one half of one percent, like giving up the option of doing variable tax rates.

Full Access for Bloggers
Here’s something I know all the rabble rousing bloggers will salute. I know I do.
From the Phil Moffett campaign:
"Frankfort politicians who are afraid of criticism on the internet shouldn't be given any cover to operate out of public view," Moffett said. "When I am elected governor, anyone who operates a political blog and wants full-access press credentials to state meetings shall be given them."
